Timmy Bare.
Operator. Builder.
Managing Director at Epitychia. The builder behind the firm's processing rails, banking integrations, and cross-border FX corridors. Over a decade in the rails — as an ISO, a consultant, and the platform architect behind Automated Interest.
Timmy runs the execution side of Epitychia — the rails the firm sells. Merchant account placement, gateway architecture, descriptor strategy, chargeback prevention tooling, ACH origination, FX corridor configuration, and the back-end banking infrastructure that settles US revenue to operators' home banks in their chosen currency. If the work is technical, it routes through Timmy.
Background
Over a decade in the rails. Direct processor relationships across the merchant services and high-risk ecosystems. Hands-on experience structuring deals on every layer of the stack — interchange, scheme posture, MOR positioning, multi-acquirer routing, FX strategy, embedded finance, foreign-currency compliance (SBV, FETA, CBN, I&E window, NACHA).
What I have built
- Automated Interest — fintech product built end-to-end. Architected the interchange optimization model and the platform around it.
- Epitychia's processing rails — the technical infrastructure behind every merchant account the firm places, every cross-border corridor it operates, and every settlement it executes.
How I write
Most of my Insights pieces are technical implementation notes — how a thing actually works at the byte level, where the levers are, what breaks under load. The strategic pieces are usually from Mark; the operational and client-facing pieces from Kimberly Daskap.
